Gmail is the stock Android email app, and is the default for most Android phones.

Set Up Your Email Account In Gmail

Depending upon your Android device’s manufacturer, carrier and OS version, the steps outlined below may differ slightly.

  1. In Settings, tap Accounts and backup / Accounts & sync.

  2. Tap Accounts.

  3. At the bottom of the list of your accounts, tap Add Account.

  4. Tap Personal (IMAP).

  5. Enter your <your-username>@w3ctag.org email address, e.g. sarah@w3ctag.org.

    Tap Next to continue.

  6. Enter your W3C TAG account password.

    Tap Next to continue.

  7. Fill in your incoming mail server information:

    Name Value
    Username <your-username>@w3ctag.org email address (same as above)
    Password Your W3C TAG account password (same as above)
    Server mail.w3ctag.org

    Tap Next to continue.

  8. Fill in your outgoing mail server information:

    Name Value
    Username <your-username>@w3ctag.org email address (same as above)
    Password Your W3C TAG account password (same as above)
    Server smtp.w3ctag.org
    Outgoing Mail Server Settings

    Tap Next to continue.

  9. Set the options for this account according to your preferences.

  10. You can make optional edits to the following fields:

    Name Value
    Account name A label for this account, e.g. Work email acct, your email address, etc.
    Your name Your full name, e.g. Sarah Jones
    Finished!
  11. Finally, tap Next to finish.
