iOS (iPad & iPhone)

“Mail” is an email client included with iOS. It includes the ability to search for emails, and to automatically append signatures to outgoing emails. Mail integrates with Contacts, Calendar, Maps, and other iOS apps.

 Set Up Your Email Account In iOS

  1. In Settings, tap Passwords & Accounts.

    Settings > Passwords & Accounts
  2. At the bottom of the list of your accounts, tap Add Account.

  3. At the bottom of the list of email account types, tap Other.

  4. Under the MAIL heading, tap Add Mail Account.

  5. Enter basic account information:

    Name Value
    Name Your full name, e.g. Sarah Jones
    Email <your-username>@w3ctag.org email address, e.g. sarah@w3ctag.org
    Password Your W3C TAG account password
    Description A label for this account, e.g. Work email acct, your email address, etc.
    Enter New Account Information

    Tap Next to continue.

  6. Ensure IMAP is selected near the top of the screen…

    Server Type — IMAP
  7. Below your basic account info, fill in the incoming mail server fields:

    Name Value
    Host Name mail.w3ctag.org
    User Name <your-username>@w3ctag.org email address (same as above)
    Password Your W3C TAG account password (same as above)

  8. Fill in your outgoing mail server information in the next section:

    Name Value
    Host Name smtp.w3ctag.org
    User Name <your-username>@w3ctag.org email address (same as above)
    Password Your W3C TAG account password (same as above)

  9. Tap Next at the upper right. Your phone will verify your account information.

  10. Finally, ensure Mail is selected, and tap Save.

    Finished!

    Notes stored with the Notes app on Apple devices do not interact with the Cloud server Notes app.
