Migrating Email

IMAP to IMAP

Your W3C TAG email account is an IMAP account. If your old email account is also IMAP, then migrating your folders and messages is quick and simple. All you need to do is set up both accounts on your email client, and then drag emails and folders from the old account to the new one.

Copying/Moving Email Messages Between IMAP Accounts

POP3 to IMAP

Migrating email from a POP3 account is a little more interesting, because with POP3, your emails are stored in your email client; not on the server.

Since the emails you want to migrate are going to be stored in a specific email client, on a specific device, you’ll need to add your W3C TAG email account to that client, even if you don’t plan to continue using that email client or device with your new account thereafter.

Once both email accounts are set up in the same clients, you can drag emails from the old account to the new one.
